Give Through Your IRA: Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a tax-advantaged gift directly from your IRA to support Edinboro Market. This type of contribution, known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), allows you to donate directly to a qualified nonprofit without increasing your taxable income.

A QCD can satisfy part or all of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and may reduce your overall tax liability, since the transferred amount is excluded from your adjusted gross income. Donors can give up to $100,000 per year (or $200,000 for couples filing jointly) through QCDs.
